Where Can You Get Your Woods Cross Police Department Car Accident Report?

You can make a Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) request either in person or online. For your convenience, the Woods Cross Police Department offers a printable PDF or an online portal.

After filling in your contact information, including name, address, phone number, and email address, you will move on to the “Description of Records sought” field. Here, you should include the following information:

• A detailed description of the report you’re requesting. Be sure to include the case number, if available, which can be found on the paperwork given by the responding officer.
• Other identifying details of the accident. Additionally, list the date, estimated time, and location of the accident, along with the names of those involved.
• Your involvement in the collision. Under GRAMA, police departments typically restrict the release of accident reports to those directly involved in the incident or their representatives. Finally, you will be asked for additional information to determine if the records should be available to you. As an involved party in the accident, you should select “I am the subject of the record” from the options.

When Will You Receive Your Police Department Car Accident Report?

The Woods Cross Police Department advises that it may take up to ten business days to process your records request. If you have not received a response by that time, please call the Police Records Administrator at (801) 292-4422 for more information.
