2 brothers in critical condition after Logan crash

LOGAN — Two brothers, ages 14 and 18, were critically injured in a car crash involving a water truck in Logan on Monday morning, police said.

About 8 a.m., the water truck was driving south on 1000 West approaching 1800 South at the same time the brothers’ Nissan Altima was waiting at a stop sign to turn left across the southbound lane, said Logan Police Chief Gary Jensen.

The Altima then pulled out and was struck in the driver’s door by the water truck. The crash forced the Altima into another vehicle that was waiting to turn left onto 1800 South, Jensen said.

The 14-year-old and 18-year-old were taken to Logan Regional Hospital in critical condition, Jensen said.

No one else was injured in the crash.
