DRAPER — A motorcyclist was critically injured late Thursday after being hit by an SUV in Draper, police said.
About 11:36 p.m., a westbound SUV made a left-hand turn into the path of the northbound motorcycle at 11950 S. State, and the motorcycle hit the SUV, Draper police said in a statement.
When crews arrived, they found a man, 47, in “very critical” condition and the woman who was driving the SUV with minor injuries, police said.
Officers were still investigating what caused the woman, 27, to turn in front of the motorcyclist, but said they believe alcohol may be involved.
The street in that area was closed for about four hours after the crash while police investigated.
