WANSHIP, Summit County — The shelter-in-place order for residents living near Tollgate Canyon in Summit County was lifted Tuesday night; eastbound lanes of I-80 reopened while one westbound lane remained closed after a semitruck containing hazardous materials rolled over.
The driver had minor injuries from the crash but was otherwise OK, Utah Highway Patrol officials said.
County officials had been “coordinating shelters for Tollgate residents if (road) closures last later into the night,” according to a Summit County tweet.
The Utah Department of Transportation said drivers should “expect major delays” and asked them to take an alternate route, if possible.
